SIA PERSONNEL SECURITY, EYES WIDE OPEN VIDEO This film shows the importance of SIA (Security Industry Authority) security staff and the need for the best training to support in the security role. This film will get you thinking about security, recognising suspicious behaviour and incidents. This course is for people that already hold or have held a SIA Door Supervisor licence and need to do the Upskilling course to obtain a new SIA Door Supervisor Licence. If you have not previously completed a Door Supervisors course then to obtain your SIA licence you will need to do the Level 2 Award Door Supervisors Course
What is a Door Supervisor?
Door Supervisors maintain order and safeguard the well-being of customers on the premises. This premises could be licensed (ie Bar/Club) or even a shopping centre. Door supervisors patrol inside a property and ensure that they can be located in the event of an emergency. One of the roles can include body searches and this may involve the use of metal detectors to deter the carrying of weapons. Door Supervisors liaise closely with the police, first aiders and premises management.
What is covered on this course?
This upskilling qualification covers the following two units:
- Physical Intervention Skills, assessed by a practical and a written True/False test.
- Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors, including Counter-terrorism, First Aid Awareness and Dealing with Children and Young People assessed by a 10-question multiple-choice examination.
Where is the training held?
The 1 and 1/2 days level 2 training will be held in London or Manchester and will be within walking distance of the train station. We are also able to deliver this course around the country at your premises for groups of 8 or more people. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
